Life In The NFL
It was the second-longest fumble return in NFL history. Chiefs linebacker Chris Martin snatched the ball and rumbled 100 yards for the touchdown. The decisive, game turning play allowed Kansas City to defeat the Miami Dolphins on Monday Night Football, October 14, 1991. It was just one of many dramatic plays made by Martin during his illustrious 13 year NFL career. By NFL standards, Chris wasn't blessed with outstanding size or speed. What Martin had though, was heart. An unrelenting tenacity that made Chris a leader, on and off the field.
Birth Of A New Company
His love for the game and marking savvy made it an easy transition from the NFL to the founder of his own sports memorabilia company. Chris Martin Enterprises was launched in 1992 with the invention of DOG TAGS. Officially licensed by the NFL, DOG TAGS are plastic trading cards designed to be worn on a chain. An instant success, but Chris didn't stop there. DOG TAGS were just the beginning of a multitudinous array of ingenious products, novelties and memorabilia, all found under the new company name, CROWN PRO.
